What are your skills?
Skills are your 'learned abilities' -- those that you have gained through practice and/or knowledge. Many people have difficulty indentifying their skills, and yet, we all have so many. Knowing what your skills are can provehelpful in finding a new job.
To help, Literacy Link Niagara isoffering you an informative skills assessment... for free!
The assessment will:
- be 1.5 to 2 hours long
- help you learn how to transfer your essential skills into job opportunities
- identify gaps that may need to be filled before entering a new job
- produce an individualized step-by-step educational action plan
- make appropriate referrals if necessary
- allow you to practice and become aware of how you use your thinking skills in the workplace
This assessment is suitable for individuals who:
- have been laid-off
- are unemployed
- are working part-time, but looking for full-time work
