Job Seekers

Need assistance with your job search?

The Employment Help Centre is committed to preparing you for a successful job search. Our resource centres offer a variety of services to get you headed in the right direction, including a resource library and free computer, fax and printer access. Please click here to see a complete list of services that our resource centres provide.

We offer additional programs that improve the effectiveness of your job search. Funded by Employment Ontario and the United Way, Job Matching and the Farm Labour Pool present job seekers the opportunity to be connected with employers who require specific skills and experience.

If you require certain training for a job -- WHMIS, Smart Serve, CPR, Construction, etc. -- we provide various programs that will satisfy those prerequisites. Please visit our training page to see all the currently offered programs.

One-on-one Counselling

We understand that finding a job can be a difficult process. To help, we have counsellors available to provide individualized support with your job search -- identify interests and abilities, explore training options, build your resume and cover letter, practice interviews and polish your networking skills. During the job search process, a counsellor can offer ongoing support and mentoring.

Matching and Placement

A Job Developer can help match your skills and interests with work opportunities in the community while advocating on your behalf. Access to the hidden job market, work placement options, training incentives and coaching are a few benefits of this program.
