Premier Express Lines is currently seeking a Fleet Coordinator to join their growing team. Reporting to the Logistics Manager, this exciting opportunity will support Premiers service divisions by professionally and efficiently tending to the responsibilities of the role.
- Handle all tractor/trailer breakdown calls
- Source out parts and equipment; find the best prices and maintain good vendor relationships
- Organize and maintain shop work orders and PO’s
- Work closely to the shop team for preventative maintenance on trucks and trailers through uses of spreadsheets to track and organize information
- Responsible for all aspects of licencing and insurance renewals
- Obtain quarterly driver abstracts/CVOR’s from fleet and maintain requirements and standards
- Maintain E-logs and paper driver logs for the MTO
- Monitor and maintain driver safety stats and files; including use of internal safety software
- Assist with on-boarding new staff and provide training
- Manage satellites on equipment
- Other duties to be assigned as needed
- Completion of a 2-year diploma or 3 + years of related experience
- Excellent interpersonal skills and strong communication skills – both verbal and written
- Strong computer literacy with Excel proficiency
- Must be hands-on, proactive, and results-driven
