Pool Supervisor (May – September)
The Town of Lincoln is now accepting applications for the position of Pool Supervisor. Reporting to the Recreation & Sports Coordinator the Pool Supervisor ensures the implementation of a safe, enjoyable, accessible and diversified aquatic program and provides assistance and leadership to all staff. The Town operates two (2) outdoor pools, one in Jordan and one in Beamsville, this position includes organizing and overseeing all aspects of the pools, including staff management, administration, risk management and public relations
The Successful Candidate will have the following qualifications and skills:
- Aquatic Supervisory Training (AST)
- Current National Lifeguard Service Certification (NLS Instructor certificate would be considered an asset)
- Current Red Cross Water Safety Instructors certification
- Current Standard First Aid/CPR C certification/AED
- Minimum three (3) years’ experience as a Headguard/Swim Instructor
- Some supervisory experience is preferred
- High Five Principles of Health Child Development Certificate
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Experience working with minimal supervision and leading a team
- Valid Class G Driver’s License and access to a vehicle
- Valid Police Waiver (for those candidates over the age of 18)
- Planning on returning to school in the Fall of 2020.
Hours and shifts may vary; but candidates must be available to work evenings and weekends. The hourly rate is $17.28.
