The job involves:
- Laying out, assembling, repairing, troubleshooting, maintaining, connecting and testing power equipment, electrical fixtures, conduit, junction boxes, circuit protection devices, and related equipment
- Completing all on-demand and preventative maintenance work orders
- Working with external contractors by providing escorts, assistance and direction
- Assisting with maintaining spare parts inventory by requesting purchase orders
- Reading blueprints
- Thorough knowledge of all activities and promotions occurring at our casino properties
- Working independently and as one team that helps and supports one another
- Working safely, and in compliance with OH&S policies and legislation
- Flexibility to support a 24/7 operation
The ideal candidate has:
- Certificate of Qualification 309A Construction & Maintenance Electrician in good standing
- Minimum two (2) years working in the electrical trade in a construction or commercial environment including working knowledge of HVAC controls, VSD’s, Lutron Lighting, fire alarm, UPS (Powerware) and Generator
- Knowledge & training in the following areas: Arc Flash, Man-Lift operation, Fall Arrest, High Voltage (13,800 volts) and WHMIS
- Valid “G” driver’s license and clean driving record
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Fire Alarm Technician certification and fire extinguisher handling
