The job involves:

  • Laying out, assembling, repairing, troubleshooting, maintaining, connecting and testing power equipment, electrical fixtures, conduit, junction boxes, circuit protection devices, and related equipment
  • Completing all on-demand and preventative maintenance work orders
  • Working with external contractors by providing escorts, assistance and direction
  • Assisting with maintaining spare parts inventory by requesting purchase orders
  • Reading blueprints
  • Thorough knowledge of all activities and promotions occurring at our casino properties
  • Working independently and as one team that helps and supports one another
  • Working safely, and in compliance with OH&S policies and legislation
  • Flexibility to support a 24/7 operation

The ideal candidate has:

  • Certificate of Qualification 309A Construction & Maintenance Electrician in good standing
  • Minimum two (2) years working in the electrical trade in a  construction or commercial environment including working knowledge of HVAC controls, VSD’s, Lutron Lighting, fire alarm, UPS (Powerware) and Generator
  • Knowledge & training in the following areas: Arc Flash, Man-Lift operation, Fall Arrest, High Voltage (13,800 volts) and WHMIS
  • Valid “G” driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Fire Alarm Technician certification and fire extinguisher handling
