Niagara Custom Crush Studio is searching for seasonal and full-time Cellar Hands to join our production team immediately in Vineland, Ontario. This is a great opportunity to work in a well-equipped custom crush winery, supporting the production of premium VQA wines for a variety of Ontario wine brands. The successful candidate will work closely with our winemaking and cellar team and be involved in many hands-on aspects of wine production, from crush pad to bottle.

Hourly Wage: $19-23 depends on experience
Job Type: Seasonal/Full Time

Responsibilities
This hands-on position involves supporting all areas of cellar and production work, including but not limited to:
● Cleaning and sanitizing winery equipment, barrels, tanks, hoses, pumps, and production areas.
● Assisting with crush pad operations during harvest.
● Performing pump overs and punch downs during fermentation.
● Monitoring fermentations, including temperature tracking and daily fermentation activities.
● Performing cellar tasks including additions, wine transfers, racking, filtration, fining, and cleaning.
● Performing barrel work, including filling, topping, racking, and barrel maintenance.
● Assisting with general wine production and harvest operations.
● Working on the bottling line, including packaging, labeling, and palletizing.
● Assisting with warehouse organization as needed.
● Packing wine orders and assisting with deliveries as needed.
● Maintaining accurate production records and following cellar procedures.
● Supporting general winery maintenance and keeping work areas clean, safe, and organized.

Requirements Qualifications and Attributes
● Previous winery experience is an asset.
● A diploma or education in Enology, Viticulture, Wine Business, or a related field is considered an asset.
● Previous experience working with premium wine production is an asset.
● Must be reliable, organized, hardworking, and motivated.
● Strong communication skills and a positive attitude.
● Excellent attention to detail.
● Willingness to be an active member of a team-focused production environment.
● Must be able and willing to work long physical hours during harvest, including weekends and overtime as required.
● Must be eligible to work in Canada.
● Valid driver’s license required.
● Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
● Must be comfortable climbing ladders and working in a physical production environment.
