We are seeking an enthusiastic Cashier who enjoys assisting our customers. This is a rewarding opportunity for a motivated individual with a passion for thrift and a commitment to excellent customer service. This position starts immediately.
Our Thrift Store is located at 429 Barton St East in Hamilton.
Hours of store operations are: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 10am – 4pm
Work schedule: Starting at 9am, 19.5 hours – 26 hours per week
Previous experience is an asset, however training will be provided.
Duties:
- Greet customers
- Communicate any sales
- Verify item tags, resolve pricing issues
- Process sales in register, wrap and bag purchases
- Handle cash and debit transactions
- Maintain clean, organized checkout
- Assist with light merchandising, restocking and front-of-store housekeeping between rushes
- Provide basic info on donation procedures
Requirements:
- Excellent customer service skills
- Great communication skills with team members
- Attention to detail
- Comfortable handling purchasing transactions
- Willing to learn
- Flexible schedule, weekend availability
