Trinity United Church Grimsby
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented custodian for 25-30 hours/week to ensure safety, security and maintenance of our Church building to accommodate all functions, services and activities. This role is essential in supporting the overall functions and appearance of our facility to ensure a clean, safe and welcoming environment for all who enter and use our Church building.
Qualifications:
• Respects the values of Trinity United Church
• Prior experience in custodial work preferred but not required; training provided
• Has knowledge & ability to carry out small repairs and know when to call a professional
• Requires flexibility in availability for setting up for weddings, funerals & special events; and responding to emergency calls (a car or close proximity to the church is an asset)
• Demonstrates good problem solving and time management skills
• Good physical stamina to perform manual tasks including lifting (30 lbs) & use of ladders & scaffolds
• Demonstrates excellent team & interpersonal skills
• Reliable with a strong work ethic
• Completes any legislated health & safety training.
