Megalomaniac Winery

Megalomaniac Winery

Megalomaniac Winery is an award-winning producer of premium VQA wines from our own estate vineyard in the Twenty Mile Bench sub-appellation of Niagara. We are looking for two cellar hands to work alongside the winemaking team for vintage 2026. The winery is situated in one of the most coveted sites of the region. We grow Riesling, Chardonnay, Cabernet Franc and Pinot Noir among other varieties and produce a range of wines from traditional-method sparkling wines to barrel-aged reds.

Duties:

Duties will include fruit processing, sanitation, inoculations, fermentation management, barrel work, filtrations, rackings and transfers.

The successful applicants will gain experience in all cellar tasks and will work closely with the winemaker.

The ideal candidate will be energetic, diligent, willing to learn, and be dependable.

Workplace laboratory experience in basic winemaking analysis (Brix, pH, TA, VA) is an asset but is not a requirement and can be learned on the job.

These positions will start in September 2026 for approximately 10 weeks on a fixed-term contract. For the right person there may be a full-time role. Start and end dates can be discussed.

Harvest is an exciting but intense period in the winemaking calendar; a steady 6-day work week and long workday hours with early starts and late finishes should be expected during its peak.

Requirements:

Expect a positive and upbeat work environment and plenty of coffee.
• Steel-toed boots are required.
• Forklift license and experience is an asset but not necessary.
• WHMIS training will be provided.
• Able to lift and carry 25 kg.
• Reliable transportation as we are not located close to public transit routes.

The wage is commensurate with experience; $20-$23/hr.

Applicable overtime hours will be compensated in accordance with the Ontario Employment Standards Act.

Applicant details will be kept confidential. Applications will be reviewed as received, so early interest is encouraged. Please apply by August 28th, 2026.

We are an equal opportunity employer committed to a workplace where everyone feels safe, respected, and valued.
