Skyline Contracting is seeking an experienced Service Lead to join our team in Caistor Centre, ON. The Service Lead’s role requires travel to various job sites, travel is often within one hour of Skyline’s Headquarters.
The Service Lead should be well-versed in roofing systems, including flat, metal, shingle, and tile. The Service Lead should also be knowledgeable in the exterior envelope, including siding, soffit, fascia, sealants, venting, and eavestroughs.
Reporting directly to the Service Superintendent, the Service Lead will oversee and coordinate the activities of Service Technicians, ensuring that all work is performed to the highest standards of quality and safety. This position requires strong leadership skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a deep understanding of various trades within the roofing industry.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting thorough inspections, diagnosing issues, and providing effective solutions. They will be adept at performing accurate estimates for materials, labour, and project timelines, ensuring projects are completed on schedule and within budget.
As a customer-facing role, the Service Lead must excel in communication and customer service, addressing any concerns and ensuring a positive customer experience.
QUALIFICATIONS
- A valid G-Class Driver's License with a clean driver abstract;
- Experience in operating a truck and trailer;
- Certified and confident with Working at Heights;
- Extensive experience in the trades, with a solid understanding of various disciplines;
- Proficient in the use of power tools;
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal;
- Strong understanding of the building envelope and the ability to apply the Ontario Building Code.
- First Aid Certification is a bonus
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- The Service Lead will supervise and coordinate the activities of the Service Technicians, ensuring quality workmanship and adherence to safety protocols.
- The Service Lead will perform inspections, diagnose issues, and provide effective solutions for various roofing projects. The foreman will collaborate with the Service Superintendent to plan and schedule projects effectively.
- The Service Lead will collaborate on estimates with the Superintendent using the detailed information they gathered from the job site. The Lead will be responsible for ensuring projects are completed on schedule and within budget.
- The Service Lead will communicate with customers, providing exceptional service and addressing any concerns or inquiries.
