Big city, rural or remote area, it doesn’t matter. You can access online employment advising from anywhere as long as you have a computer or mobile device and an internet connection. Note: you must live within Ontario or be relocating to the province.
An online employment advisor is an ideal option for individuals who may not find it convenient or comfortable to attend in-person appointments. It works like traditional counselling except it’s internet-based and the advisor and client exchange emails instead of meeting for a face-to-face appointment.
How Does It Work?
After you have securely registered for our online services, you will receive an introductory email within 2 business days. The email will provide a warm welcome, including a brief description of services and next steps. During initial email exchanges, you will need to describe your current situation and any problems or challenges you have been experiencing.
You can send emails at any time – day or night. Your advisor will respond within 5 business days.
To register for free online employment services, you must:
- Live in Ontario;
- Be unemployed or working less than 20 hours a week;
- Be legally entitled to work in Canada;
- Have access to the Internet.
