NATURE & SCOPE
The role of the RECE and Director Approvable is to help carry out the day-to-day operations of the Child Care Centre. Helping to implement programs for children in care within the requirements of the current curriculum.
(Permanent) Full Time – 40 hours a week Availability between 7am-6pm is required
Evenings/weekends may be required for training and meetings.
Pay - RECE ($19.03 + $2.00 WEG + $2.00 RECE premium)
Director Approvable ($17.85 + $2.00 WEG)
After 3-month probation period:

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Responsible for the care and safety of the children
• Organize and implement activities for the group as outlined in the YMCA Playing To Learn curriculum
• Maintain a positive and professional relationship with all parents, children and fellow staff
• Participate in training sessions when required including Food Handlers Certification
• Participate in training and adhere to the YMCA Child Protection Policies and Procedures as established by the YMCA of Niagara
QUALIFICATIONS
• Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE), & proof of membership in good standing with the College of RECEs
• Director Approval (subject to the approval process of the Ministry of Education)
• Previous Child Care experience
• Current Standard First Aid, CPR-C certification
• A clear and satisfactory criminal reference check inclusive of the vulnerable sector search (CRC VSS) issued for the YMCA of Niagara
