Advantage Waste Systems in Grimsby is looking for an experienced full time Welder/Fabricator to join their team.
Duties:
- Good knowledge of welding techniques or certification preferred; apprentice will be considered
- Lead and follow all welding protection protocol; gloves, mask, clothing, safety boots, protective eyewear and maintain a clean and organized work surrounding
- Container shop/yard- you will be responsible for welding, measuring, sanding/priming/painting, and keeping container yard/area neat
- Welder will be building and performing repairs on metal waste containers; experience operating a variety of welding equipment and forklift
- Loading and unloading of containers, operate container delivery truck/trailer when required
- Understanding of proper securement for transportation of goods
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Experience in manufacturing/repairing waste containers, compactors preferable; training is available
- Highly energetic, positive team player, works in conjunction with others and lead project co-ordinators
- Good knowledge of welding techniques or certification preferred, apprentice will be considered
- Experience in using electrical or manual tools, maintains and is responsible for all tools and equipment assigned
- Valid drivers license with a clean abstract required
