Executive Director – #6906 – A
The Niagara West Adult Learning Centre – Literacy Council of Niagara West is looking for a candidate to fill the position of Executive Director.
We will be hiring someone with related educational credentials and managerial experience. They will have a good understanding of “not for profits” and government grants. The successful candidate will be governed by a Board of Directors and will direct a small staff of both full time and part time employees. The successful candidate will also be expected to manage the budget setting processes and other financial responsibilities .
The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, have a good knowledge of the community, and be able to work with a number of community partners. Ideally she/he will be familiar with the Literacy and Basic Skills Program and be expected to maintain program requirements as set down by the Ministry of Labour, Training and Skills Development. He/She will be a generalist who has a wide array of knowledge on a variety of subjects. Experience with relevant computer programs, virtual training and virtual meetings is important.
We are a small office in Beamsville, covering the territories of Lincoln, West Lincoln and Grimsby.
Presently the office is open Monday through Thursday and closed on Friday.
