Canadian Leak Detection

A local service franchise located in Beamsville responsible for locating and fixing leaks is seeking a seasonal full-time Leak Technician for the busy summer season. Hours are Monday-Friday (8:00 – 5:00).

Duties:

Applicant will be expected to assist one of our certified technicians with locating leaks on residential and commercial swimming pools with the use of electronic equipment which locates leaks via pressurization readings and acoustically by listening. The applicant will also help load and unload the service vehicle with equipment used to perform the daily tasks.

Requirements:
  • Quick learner
  • Pool knowledge is advantageous but not essential
  • Comfortable with longer hours, working outdoors and possibly diving into pools
  • Steel-toed safety boots required
  • During this job placement the trainee is under constant supervision working along-side a certified technician
  • The trainee will be assigned to a single technician with the aim of obtaining consistent mentoring in their daily tasks.  If the student has questions or needs assistance, the technician is readily available to help them.
  • With regards to the health & safety, the student would be required to complete the Ontario Health and Safety Awareness Training Program
  • Safety boots must be worn on the job at all times, goggles will be worn (depending on the task) and gloves will be worn (depending on the task)
  • The student will be guided by our trained and experienced technicians to perform day-to-day tasks in the safest way
