Repair Technician – #4962 -L
A local service franchise located in Beamsville responsible for locating and fixing leaks is seeking a Full Time Pool Repair Technician for the busy summer season. Hours are Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm. Longer hours possible based on repair jobs scheduled.
Applicant will be expected to assist one of our certified technicians with swimming pool repairs that consist of:
- Removing and replacing concrete in repair area
- Reconstruction of pool repairs
- Installing & repairing pool plumbing lines
- Helping load and unload the service vehicle with equipment and supplies
- Past construction experience and pool knowledge advantageous, but not essential
- Mechanical knowledge and abilities
- Quick learner
- Comfortable working outdoors and longer hours
- A valid Drivers licence and clean driving record
- Steel-toed safety boots required
During this job placement the trainee is under the supervision and working along-side a certified technician.
The trainee will be assigned to a single technician with the aim of obtaining consistent mentoring. If the trainee has questions or needs assistance, the technician is readily available to help them.
With regards to health & safety, the trainee would be required to complete the Ontario Health and Safety Awareness Training Program.
Safety boots must be worn on the job at all times, goggles will be worn (depending on the task) and gloves will be worn (depending on the task).
The trainee will be guided by our trained and experienced technicians to perform day-to-day tasks in the safest way.
