Blue Sky Nurseries in Beamsville is looking to hire a Full Time, Seasonal Inventory Assistant (April-August 2021).
This position offers full time hours with the potential for permanent employment.
Duties:
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Record daily, all transplanting of shrubs and perennials on the nursery by taking notes in the field and then using Excel and Greenworks to enter it into the nursery’s inventory software
Secondary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Improve nursery organization by consolidating small blocks of plant varieties together
- Assist in preparing orders for shipping by loading plants on racks
- Assist with plant maintenance (pruning, spacing)
Requirements:
- Basic knowledge of perennials, flowering shrubs, and broadleaf evergreens is required
- Must be punctual and have own transportation
- Must be self-motivated and reliable
- Must be available to work 40-50 hours a week
- Must be able to pay attention to details
- Must display maturity and dedication to completing tasks in an accurate and timely manner
- Must love working outdoors in a variety of weather conditions
