Duties:
  • Collaborates effectively with all internal groups/teams
  • Must adhere to company GPP’s and Health and Safety Regulations
  • Performs all job responsibilities under the strictest guidelines of the Cannabis Act standards
  • Follow daily and weekly task checklists
  • Provide transportation of grow tables whether dirty or clean throughout the facility
  • Scrub/Sanitize tables, irrigation materials, sinks, harvest totes, machinery, utensils and other surfaces and greenhouse equipment, machinery and supplies as required and ensure all materials are returned to the proper place
  • Clean/Sanitize entrances, security room, lunchroom, change rooms, washrooms as necessary
  • General cleaning tasks including vacuuming, mopping, sweeping, cleaning surfaces and dusting common areas as necessary including emptying the garbage and recycling
  • Inform your supervisors about any problems regarding the presents of pests, areas in lack of proper sanitation, leaks etc
  • Work with team to ensure each area of greenhouse gets sanitized to a pharmaceutical standard on weekly basis
  • Familiarize yourself with harvest and transplant date via harvest/transplant white board
  • Transport harvest tables
  • Restock toiletries and PPE in designated areas as stocks deplete
  • Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements:

Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent experience
  • Experience with horticulture considered an asset

Other Requirements

  • Excellent communication skills, fluent in English
  • Greenhouse knowledge considered an asset
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Availability to work occasional overtime and weekends when required
  • Must successfully complete a police background clearance to be eligible for employment with CannTrust

Physical Demands

  • While performing the responsibilities of the job, the employee is required to be able to lift up to and including 50lbs, sit and/or stand for extended periods of time and reach with arms/hands
  • Walking, standing, bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, lifting, pushing, pulling and moving items is occasionally required.

Work Environment

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to packaged cannabis products/supplies
  • The working environment can be noisy at times and temperate, the employee must have knowledge of how to manage their own personal safety under these conditions
