A local upholstery and sewing business specializing in sewing cushions, drapery and chair pads in the Grimsby area is currently looking to hire an Upholstery Seamstress. This position offers day time hours, 30 – 35 hours per week, Monday – Friday.
Duties:
- Sewing sofa cushions, patio cushions and drapery
- Measuring and cutting various materials including fabric and foam
- Stuffing cushions with new materials such as foam
- Using an industrial sewing machine with a walking foot
Requirements:
- Must have previous (professional) sewing experience
- Post-secondary education in upholstery or seamstress an asset
- Must be able to read and comprehend work orders
- Ability to work with numbers (measuring)
- Good Math Skills
