Conversations Cafe is actively hiring for Kitchen and Front Counter positions. These positions offer full time hours that will continue into the fall. Must have full time availability to work between the hours of 6:30am-9:30pm, seven days/week.
Duties:
Depending upon the position, duties may include:
- Prepare soups and sandwiches
- Daily baking duties ie: muffins, cakes, scones and bagels etc.
- Prepare daily breakfast and lunch specials
- General clean up of kitchen area, tools and equipment
- Provide exceptional customer service to our customers and guests
- Prepare customer drink orders ie: coffee, tea, milk shakes etc.
- Food preparation and filling customer orders
- Regular detailed cleaning of front counter and equipment
- Regular cleaning of dining room area
- Stock supplies
- Cashier duties; receive and process cash and debit transactions
- No previous experience necessary; full training is provided
Requirements:
- Safe Food Handling Certification required
- Smart Serve Certification an asset
- Previous kitchen or line cook experience an asset
- Must have full availability - days, evenings, weekends and be able to continue working these same hours come the fall
