Summer Student Position: Early Childhood Educational Consultant #8561 – ST
Early Childhood Community Development Centre
The Early Childhood Community Development Centre (ECCDC) is seeking an Early Years and Child Care Educational Consultant to support the work of ECCDC’s Coaching and Mentoring Team through assisting in
the investigation, research and development of professional development materials in alignment with Ontario’s early learning and child care frameworks.
The position will begin Tuesday May 21 and end Monday July 15, 2024; however, a flexible start date is possible. Consideration for a blend of in person and remote work is possible.
The successful candidate will have the following qualifications and skills:
- Enrolled or graduated as a full-time student in a post-secondary program of studies related to early learning and child care
- Must be a Canadian Citizen between the ages of 15 and 30 years old
- Ability to work independently with initiative and innovation in an efficient and timely manner
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Programs (Word, Excel, Power Point)
- Effective written and oral communication skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and a high level of personal integrity
- Ability to adapt and change daily plans as needed
- Demonstrated knowledge of, or experience in, the early years sector would be an asset, but not required
