Who Are We?
The Niagara Community Garden Network is a collection of organizations offering garden programs that supply the community access to affordable, healthy food and the resources to develop skill sets while engaging with the community.
Employment Help Centre (EHC) – located in Beamsville, Grimsby and Smithville – is a not-for-profit organization in collaboration with the Niagara Community Garden Network.
What Are We Looking For?
The Community Garden program currently offers a wide variety of ways for Volunteers to participate. Under the general supervision of the Garden Programs Manager, Volunteers may participate in general gardening duties, care and maintenance, mentoring of beginner gardeners, as well as outreach within the community. Volunteers may participate in group settings or on an individual basis.
- Must be at least 16 years of age to volunteer with the Community Gardens Program ( As per policy)
- Must have a reliable form of transportation in order to arrive to job sites
- Completion of WHMIS and Workplace Safety Awareness in 4 Steps (Employment Help Centre can assist in completion)
