Enertec Engineering is seeking an Operations Manager.
- Manage the operations of Enertec Engineering to ensure a smooth flow of business operations that fulfills customer needs while maintaining or exceeding profit margin targets
- Work closely with Owner/Partners to maximize available skills and talents in order to maximize market penetration in target businesses
- Oversee and support engineering operations to ensure all client jobs meet all engineering requirements and are on schedule to meet contract agreements
- Track contractual payment schedules and liase with Sales to ensure schedules will be maintained
- Liase closely with engineering staff to ensure they have all tools and information to fulfill project demands
- Interact with Sales personnel to ensure they are current with all projects
- Manage and control Accounts Payable and Receivable to ensure all projects are billed appropriately and receivables are kept to agreed time-lines
- Manage Purchasing function to ensure project time-lines will be fulfilled on time and at optimum costs
- Support individuals who are executing individual contract supply needs to ensure they have appropriate time, that items are grouped for cost effectiveness. Negotiate for new suppliers to optimize service and cost
- Manage all support services such as payroll and administration to ensure all processes flow smoothly and cost effectively
- Champion the use of company ERP processes to ensure consistency of operations occur with timely recording and reporting
- Be familiar with all engineering workloads to best use time and talent
- Schedule appropriate meetings and ensure all required information and material is on hand for planning meetings to be efficient and productive
- Team with Managing Partners to develop short, medium and long term business plans and appropriate budgets
- Post-Secondary or equivalent
- Experience in Operations Management
- Relevant engineering experience an asset
