Ferguson Neudorf Glass Inc. (FNG) is one of Canada’s leading designers, fabricators and installers of commercial aluminum curtain wall and skylights. Thermal modelling, Building Information Modelling (BIM), and Blast designs are examples of some of the engineering services provided by FNG.

Responsibilities:

The successful candidate’s main focus will be to assist in preparing detailed and accurate cost estimates for unitized curtainwall and building envelope system projects located in Canada and the United States. Close attention to understanding tender documents, specifications, contracts and working drawings will be a main requirement. Other responsibilities may include the production of shop drawings, fabrication drawings, material take offs, cutting lists and project related documents for aluminum curtainwall systems.

Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience in cost estimation; 1 year (Preferred)
  • Self motivated and keen desire to learn.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, using 2D and 3D modelling functions.
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings and project specifications.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.).
  • Familiarity with Revit / Inventor is an asset.
