Fleming Chicks Ltd. is actively seeking a Driver/Helper. This position offers full time hours with a starting wage of $20.52 per hour to start, increasing to $22.42 per hour after 3 months. Delivery days are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday. Note: schedule can involve Wednesdays & Saturdays as required. Start time in usually 6-8am to a maximum of 13 hours per day.
Duties:
- Delivery of chicks to farms and other Hatcheries
- Animal Welfare Training to Maple Lodge Farm Standards
- Cleaning and sanitation of trucks and equipment
- Pickup of eggs from farm and other hatcheries
- Must be team leader. Note a Helper is present for deliveries
- Lifting, bending, pushing, pulling of racks, buggies and stacks of chickens
- Provide excellent, professional customer service to customers
- Be proactive with truck verification and truck safety inspections
- Documentation for deliveries and records as SOP program outlines
Requirements:
- DZ licence
- Record of a clean CVOR/Abstract
- Must understand and be concerned to ensure Animal Welfare Policies
- Work with live poultry at hatcheries andfFarms
- Will be trained for specialty equipment involving trucks and tailgates
- Practice Personal Safety and Safety of other employees
- Must be in good physical condition
Generous Benefit program at completion of 3 months. RSP starts at 1 year.
Time and a half after 44 hours. Paid Weekly. Start date asap.
