Fleming Chicks Ltd., in Beamsville is actively seeking a Night Shift, 2nd Person to join their team. This position offers full time hours:
Sunday and Monday: 9:00pm – 7:00am
Tuesday: 6:30pm to 4:00am
Off Wednesday and Thursday
Friday & Saturday: 7:30pm to 4:00am
Starting wage at $18.50/hour
After 3 months: full benefits. After 6 months: $19.50/hour. After 1-year: RSP plan
Duties:
- Verify Hatchers & Incubators; trouble shoot to resolve issue(s)
- Minor maintenance
- Security of Facility
- Respond to alarms and react to correct problems
- Logistics understanding in Egg Settings from Egg Cooler Buggies to Incubator Racks to Incubators
- Receive product during late shift hours
- Fill out records as SOP mandated
Requirements:
- Must understand Safety Procedures for chemical usage (GHS), Lifting Procedures, and have the skill-set to be certified using the Walkie
- Good communication skills to communicate with Maintenance, Transfer, & Production Staff re: Equipment, schedule, & events
- Clean and maintain equipment
- Tray up, unload trucks
- Truck washup
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Provide relief for Night Shift Staff for Vacations or for other circumstances
- Other responsibilities as assigned
