The E-Commerce Fulfillment Coordinator is responsible for overseeing day-to-day e-commerce order fulfillment operations for Forty Creek Distillery. This role is responsible for processing all online retail store orders. Reporting to the Retail Store Manager, this new position will represent the company in a professional and knowledgeable manner while working towards the achievement of customer service excellence. This position requires handling alcohol and supporting all brand house/retail store activities as required.

Duties:
  • Work directly with Retail Store Manager to assist in day to day operational needs
    • Keep management informed of e-commerce issues such as customer complaints and damaged goods
    • Communicate with management adjustments to charges to customer accounts
    • Support Retail Store Manager in all activities, including retail staff duties such as operating cash register, assisting in-store customers, and merchandising
  • Receive, manage, and ship inventory
    • Prepare order information
    • Pick and pack all brand house alcohol and merchandise orders
    • Follow fulfillment procedures while packaging to ensure safe delivery
    • Meticulously fill orders so they are prompt and accurate
    • Manage pick up of all orders for shipping
  • Maintain e-commerce store website
    • Administer promotions and markdowns within the e-commerce website correctly
    • Deliver excellent customer service to both online and in-person customers
    • Correspond with clients in a timely and friendly manner
    • Accommodate special requests of customers to the best of the team’s ability
  • Optimize processes and ensure that the e-commerce operation is successful everyday
    • Propose cost/time effective ways of getting the job done
  • Cultivate a safe working environment and follows all health and safety requirements
    • Acts responsibly, at all times, concerning the consumption of any alcoholic beverages
    • Ensures work area is kept neat and tidy throughout shift
  • Other duties as requested
Requirements:

Experience:

  • Prior experience working in fulfillment preferred
  • 1 - 3 years in customer service and/or retail required
  • Solid understanding of online retailing
  • Previous Beverage Alcohol Industry experience is an asset

Education / Professional Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent
  • Diploma in management or related field is an asset
  • Smart Serve Certification (Retail) required

Functional Skills:

  • Must be able to repeatedly lift at least 40 pounds
  • Ability to stand/walk for up to 8 hours, and able to frequently push, pull, squat, bend and reach
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Manages competing priorities
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Adapts to fast-paced environment with changing circumstances
  • Positive can-do attitude and desire to make things happen

Technical Skills:

  • Comfortable with computers and technology
  • Familiarity with Point of Sale Software (ACCEO Smart Vendor)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Experience with working an e-commerce platform (Shopify, Woo Commerce)
  • Understands business goals and works closely with key leadership
  • Self-starter who works well independently
  • Creative problem solving and analytical skills

Other:

  • Able to work flexible hours during the week to meet business needs (full-time)
