Galaxy Pallets (1998) Inc. is located at 124 Erie Street in Smithville, Ontario, Canada. In business since 1966, now family run with over forty employees manufacturing pallets, specialty box items and flower racks. The company is situated on a 6 acre parcel of land, which houses two buildings. The first building is used for cutting raw materials while the second is utilized for the assembly of finished products along with housing office space. Our remaining four acres encompasses raw material and finished goods storage with plenty of room left over for future expansion of the business.
We are looking for a full time permanent general laborers for our day shift (7:30am-4:30pm) and afternoon shift (4:30pm-1:00am) to manufacture wood pallets, boxes and crates. We offer a competitive wage of $17.85/hr base with piece work opportunities which on average our nailers make $17.85-$22/hr. Benefits are offered after 3 months.
- Cleaning up worksites from debris and machinery
- Stacking materials from machines onto skids
- Handling and transporting materials
- Able to stand for long periods of time
- Interpret work orders assigned for jobs
- Ability to follow instructions from immediate supervisor
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds waist high
- Use of small hand tools such as nail guns to assist in production of product
- Proper application of product stamp on finished goods
- Clean up worksites from debris during and at end of shift
- Assist machine operators when required
- Handle and transport cut wood from machines to skids/work tables
- Proper and safe use of nail guns and small power tools
- Follow instructions from supervisors to perform manual labor tasks
- Wear proper PPE at all times
- Work in a safe manner and abide by all safety rules
- Not operate any machinery you are not qualified on

COVID-19 Considerations:
All employee temperatures are monitored and recorded before their shift and shifts are separated by 10 minutes. All common area's are cleaned after every break and shift, work area's are separated.
