Grimsby Hyundai is currently seeking a self-starting, team oriented Painter/Prepper to join their dynamic team.

We are looking for a Prepper/Painter to join our dynamic team. The Prepper supports the Service Department operations to ensure vehicles are ready to have paint applied. This means that the Prep Technician will be responsible to mask, cover, paint, and repair any body work blemishes.
- Ensure all vehicles scheduled to be painted are masked and covered before the painting technician receives the vehicle
- Responsible for repairing the exterior of the vehicle with sanding, mudding, or any other blemishment repair techniques required to apply paint
- Applying paint to vehicles after they have been prepped
- Work in strict compliance with the Laws of the Province of Ontario and Canada including, but not limited to, the Employment Standards Act (ESA) and the Accessibilities for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA)
- Understand and comply with all federal, provincial and local regulations that affect service operations, such as the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA), waste disposal regulations, etc.
- Other duties as required by management
- 1-3 years experience in Automotive body work servicing or paint/prepping experience
- Prepping and Painting experience is an asset
- Experience in sanding, mudding, and other necessary exterior body work repair techniques
- Able to multitask in a fast paced environment
- Excellent computer and communication skills
- Demonstrated commitment and willingness to learn and succeed
- Able to bring vehicles to high qualities of interior/exterior cleanliness
- Valid Ontario driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Must have knowledge in dealership paperwork process
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information
- Must be team oriented, hardworking with a positive attitude
- Ability to work overtime when required
