We are looking for an experienced Grounds Person with a DZ licence that can handle urban residential jobs. Could this be you???!!!  Our clients range from small residential homes, to multi- unit complexes. We are looking for someone who has a passion for driving, operating large machinery and who loves to exceed client expectations.

Do you have experience operating large machinery? Can you drive and operate a boom truck near homes, buildings and utilities? Do you know how to drive, maintain and operate a boom truck? If this sounds like you, read on and apply now!

Duties:
  • Boom Truck driving experience 3-5 years preferred
  • Tree identification skills
  • Experienced working in urban residential areas
  • Able to schedule jobs taking into consideration travel time between clients
  • Complete tree removal, tree trimming and pruning using a boom truck
  • Collecting debris from tree trimming and tree removal.  Maintaining a safe and clean environment once the job is complete
  • Work with ladders and at various heights
  • Knowledge of handling ropes and knots
  • Must have knowledge of how to use and maintain chain saws, pruners, chipper and other related equipment
  • Experience working with and maintaining a chipper
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
Requirements:
  • DZ Licence 3-5 years – must provide driver’s abstract upon hire - Required
  • Arborist Certification - preferred
  • Ability to provide estimates and quote jobs for customers
  • Effectively manage customer service expectations
  • Process payments from clients via cheque, cash and credit cards
  • Ability to communicate internally with all team members and with client base
  • Resolve customer complaints regarding sales and service
  • Great work ethic, honest, on time and reliable
  • Presentable, neat and clean appearance
  • A team player with a positive attitude

Working Conditions

  • This is an outdoor job which requires the candidates to work under all weather conditions all year round
  • The successful candidate must have the flexibility to work varying schedules including weekends
