A Hamilton Transportation company is looking to hire an AZ Transport Driver to haul steel from Buffalo, NY to Hamilton, ON.
This position offers full time hours, Monday to Friday. Hours of work are 5am to 2pm; must be flexible to work longer hours.
Duties:
- Hauling steel
- Perform daily pre-trip inspections
- Secure loads properly and safely
- Complete necessary paperwork; border crossing and paper logs
- Communicate effectively with shippers and receivers
Requirements:
- Valid AZ licence
- Fast Card
- Current, clean Driver's Abstract - CVDR, MVR
- Letter of experience from previous employer and insurance company
- 3 years US experience on flatbeds
- Familiar with border crossings, paperwork, and paper logs
- Physically capable of climbing up and down flatbeds safely; securing loads
- Good work ethic; courteous and respectful driving habits
- Respectful to shippers and receivers
3 month probation
