The Lincoln Chamber of Commerce is a non-profit, membership-driven organization which supports and represents over 200 local businesses & community organizations in the Town of Lincoln and surrounding area.
We are seeking a detailed oriented self-starter to provide administrative support to increase membership engagement and promotion. The successful participant will help support local businesses and drive economic growth and development in our community.
Reporting to the Executive Director and working either remotely or out of our office in Beamsville Ontario, this support role will assist with database management, communication initiatives, event support and day-to-day administrative duties as required.
This 8-week position is temporary full-time at 35 hours per week, typically Monday to Friday between 9:00am to 4:00pm; however, the work week hours may vary and will require a candidate to have flexible availability, including evenings for event support.
The successful candidate must be available and comfortable working within a hybrid work environment (remotely as well as from the office located in Beamsville, ON)
Administration - Assist with:
- Event planning support
- Day of Event assistance
- Administrative duties including data entry, digitizing photos, mailings, etc.
- Other duties as assigned by the Executive Director
Membership - Assist with:
- Assist with member welcome packages & renewal packages
- Database management
- Assist members with updating membership profiles- contact and business information
- Other duties as assigned by the Executive Director
Marketing & Communications - Assist with:
- Research local trade & industry trends
- Website maintenance and content updates (WordPress)
- Promote a positive relationship with local businesses
- Other duties as assigned by the Executive Director
- Able to demonstrate initiative and resourcefulness, self‐motivated, team player, flexible and able to work independently with strong time management skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
- Graphic design and WordPress experience an asset
- Excellent oral and written communications skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Valid drivers’ licence with own transportation is an asset
- Access to own laptop, mobile phone and internet for hybrid model of remote/office work
- Participation in or completion of a post-secondary education program focused on Business Administration, Sales & Marketing, PR/Communications, or related discipline would be an asset
