Fabric Inspection/ Labourer – #5999 – L

This position reports to the Plant Manager or Supervisor.  This position includes but is not limited to inspecting all fabric and ensuring that fabric meets all mill order and customer specifications.

Duties:
  • Ensure that rolls are loaded properly onto  inspection machine
  • Measure and record the width
  • Flag and document defects
  • Determine and document the ends and picks and weave pattern of the fabric
  • Assign piece numbers for the required length of rolls according to customers specifications
  • Notify Quality Manager or supervisor of defects
  • Report production in Jomar when  inspection is completed
  • Participates in and maintains quality-control measured and assurance programs in accordance with ISO 9001
  • Supports the Corrective / Preventive Action Programs
  • Recognizes non-conformance and alerts the appropriate senior staff
  • Provide assistance in the continuous improvement of the Quality System
  • Adheres to safety measure and maintains cleanliness within Geiger inspection
  • Maintains company confidentiality at all times
  • Accepts assignments to specific duties or projects as required
  • Performs other related or non related duties as required
Requirements:
  • Must be a conscious worker
  • Must be able to detect weaving defects in fabric
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs
  • Must have some computer knowledge
  • Minimum education requirement, High School Diploma
