A Pallet Reparier is required to quickly, efficiently and safely remove broken pieces of wood from pallets and replace with new wood materials as needed and to ensure quality of repaired pallets at all times.
- Pickup a pallet from the repairable pile and inspect it for defects, remove any defective wood parts and replace them with good wood parts adding any supporting blocks if needed. Place repaired pallet in the appropriate pile to be stacked at a maximum of 18 pallets high
- Repair pallets using nail guns, hammers, crowbars etc.
- Let supervisor know if there is a lack of materials or supplies needed to continually produce quality pallets
- Use common sense and safety precautions at all times while on the premises
- Be flexible to move into other work cells if needed
- Previous industry or manufacturing experience
- Any general labour or heavy assembly work would be an asset
- No educational requirements
Work Environment/Dynamics:
- Continuous change throughout the day is to be expected in order to meet the demands of the customers. The working environment can be extremely hot, cold, dry or wet dependent upon the seasons. Also can be very noisy, dirty and dusty. All of these conditions could be present everyday with the exception of the seasonal climates
Schedule for Evaluation:
- Evaluations of employees will be performed prior to the completion of the first three months of employment and annually thereafter
