A growing Niagara woodworking firm is looking for a Cabinetmaker/Installer. The firm is an architectural woodwork manufacturer which focuses on the fabrication of commercial woodwork including bars, restaurants, schools and hospitals. They also fabricate high end residential properties. Their facility boasts state of the art equipment along with highly experienced craftsman. They have completed projects throughout North America, although most projects are in Ontario.
Duties:
- Layout projects and follow blueprints and/or specifications to build custom products out of wood, laminate and veneers
- Material take off; operate woodworking machines as well as hand tools to cut, shape and form parts and components
- Assembly of custom woodwork using glue and claps; reinforce joints using nails, screws and other fasteners
- Deliver and install cabinets at job site
Requirements:
- Experience in custom cabinet making and installations
- Knowledge of woodworking as well as the use of woodworking machines and tools
- Knowledge and experience in blueprint reading
- Own tools may be required
- Steel toe boots required
