Old School Flooring in Grimsby is looking to add a Flooring Installer or Assistant to their team. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to grow their skills with a local contractor or to learn the trade from the ground up. Candidates must be able to show proof of double vaccination due to the requirements of many contracts held by the employer.
Duties:
- Drive to installation site
- Load and unload materials and tools
- Install various types of flooring including carpet, ceramic, vinyl plank, hardwood and laminate
- Install baseboards, finishing shoe moldings and/or transition strips as required
- Clean installation site upon completion
- Other duties as required
Requirements:
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs independently
- Valid drivers licence
- Clean driving record
- Minimum 6 months construction experience for assistant position
- 3-5 years flooring experience is preferred
- Experience using power and manual tools
- Able to bend, kneel stoop and reach as required
- Proof of vaccination
- Self motivated, hard working and dependable
