Job Description:
- Hourly position; Full time; Hours may vary in order to meet the job requirements.
- Weekend work could be required based on production requirements
- Reports to Production Supervisors
Duties:
- Set-up and tear down of equipment for each lines daily scheduled production
- Will be required to produce and/or help produce pasta for all scheduled production lines in a timely and efficient manner.
- Responsible for completing all production and Q.A. paperwork and/or reporting pertaining to the job
- Will be required to do quality checks and equipment monitoring daily
- Will be required to assist in daily housekeeping duties
- Must be able to trouble shoot and identify mechanical problems
- Monitoring of pasta fillings and mixes meet product specifications
- Will be required to report any shortages, downtime and/or production issues to supervision in a timely manner.
- Will be required to do some machine maintenance
- Maintains a high standard of Health and Safety, strictly adheres to Health & Safety SOPs
- Maintain a high standard of Quality and Food Safety
- Strictly adhere to SOPs pertaining to Quality & Food Safety, must follow Company Policies, Good Manufacturing Practices, and
- Standard Operating Procedures
- Complies with Safety regulations as stated within the Health & Safety Act
- Will be required to assume other duties deemed necessary by the Company
Requirements:
- GMP’s (Good Manufacturing Practices) and HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) training is an asset
- Must be very flexible, be a team player, and have the ability to work with minimum supervision
- Competent in LOTO and all elements of plant safety programs
- Must have excellent work ethics and attendance record
- Knowledge of WHMIS is required
- Will be required to perform physically demanding work (ie. Lifting up to 50lbs)
- Must have a mechanical aptitude
- Must have good command of the English language
- Must be willing to contribute to a safe working environment
- Adhere to all of the company’s rules, policies and procedures
