As a bookkeeper you will work with the other team members of Padgett to manage all the day-to-day work for our clients. We are fortunate to have modern technology in our toolbox. Our cloud-based software allows us share secure workspace between business owners and our accountants.
Working with QuickBooks Online you will perform any of the following duties:
- Specific Accountabilities
- Maintain and build relationships with clients
- Bookkeeping - Complete reconciliations – bank and credit card statements
- Prepare weekly and monthly financial and management reports
- Prepare and file HST returns
- Manage payroll and remittances for clients
- Participate in client meetings as required
- Document or complete research on the ever-changing needs of our clients, or potential client
- Assist in Personal and Corporate Tax Returns
Knowledge and Skills required:
- 3-5 years bookkeeping using QuickBooks Online
- Previous experience in accounting or bookkeeping for small business
Proven Skills in:
- Communication
- Working independently
- Comfortable learning new software and apps
- Working Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Detail oriented and have the ability to multitask and prioritize work
- Willingness to learn
