Precision Metal Works provides its customers with solutions through trades with custom machining and fabrication. They are currently looking to hire a full time CNC Machine Operator with the potential for an apprenticeship, for someone who is interested in learning a trade that is quickly growing in demand. While experience is an asset, the employer is willing to provide full training for the right candidate.
Duties:
- Plan machining by studying work orders, blueprints, and engineering plans
- Interpret geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T)
- Verify settings by measuring positions, first-run part and sample work-pieces; adhering to standards
- Load feed mechanism by lifting stock into position
- Maintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations
- Maintain equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs
- Other duties within the scope of the job including additional duties as skills and abilities are developed
Requirements:
Employer is willing to train however any experience in the following areas is an asset
- Strong programming and set up skills
- G code programming knowledge
- Knowledge of CNC lathes & mill machining centers
- Ability to read & interpret drawings & blue prints
- Produce quality machined parts efficiently with minimum supervision
