Premier Kosher Inc is a kosher chicken processing plant, located in Caistor Centre. The are currently seeking a Maintenance Millwright to join their team. The position is responsible for installing, inspecting, adjusting and repairing equipment while following safety rules and regulations.
Duties:
- Working well in a team environment and support fellow workers and stakeholders eg. Rabbis, CFIA
- Inspect and examine machinery and equipment to detect and investigate irregularities and malfunctions
- Clean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance work on machinery
- Maintains productivity that meets/exceeds standards
- Take action to correct any issues and to make improvements
- Assemble machinery and equipment prior to installation using hand and power tools and welding equipment.
- May be required to be called in after hours to troubleshoot maintenance challenges
- Review and follow highly technical and complex machinery manuals
- Contribute to a health and safe work environment by wearing required PPE(lab coat, rubber steal toe boots, hair net etc)
- Adhere to company policies and procedures
- Working with industrial food production equipment
Requirements:
- Certification as a Millwright
- Proven experience as a Millwright or in a similar role
- An eye for detail
- In-depth knowledge of hydraulics, belt systems, motors and other industrial machine mechanisms
- Quick learner
- Speak and understand English to follow strict oral and written instructions
- Excellent attention to detail
- Work as a team
- Strength and Stamina
- Comprehend, analyze and troubleshoot mechanical systems
Other Details:
- Monday to Friday afternoons/nights
- Occasional weekend work pending availability on workload
- Extra hours driven by production demands
