A mature person with a good sense of humour is required to provide personal support to a young senior living in Grimsby with various activities of daily living including grocery shopping, meal preparation, and community involvement. Client requiring support has developmental disability but does not require physical assistance.
This position will require availability for 2 – 3 afternoon/evenings per week to a maximum of 10 hours (days of the week and hours are flexible).
Remuneration for gas will also be paid in addition to hourly wage.
Duties:
Assist in all activities of daily living including:
- Grocery shopping
- Meal preparation
- Community participation / involvement
- Other light duties that may be required
Requirements:
- Valid driver's license
- Current police clearance (vulnerable sector)
- Experience in a similar role is an asset
