Provisions Food Company creates foodstuffs that are inspired by Niagara. We are currently seeking a Production Assistant. This position offers flexible, part time hours (busiest in the fall). Days of work are Monday to Thursday or Friday. Hours of work are 8am-4pm or 9am-3pm (flexible).
Duties:
- Assist in packaging department
- Assembling packaging
- Handling cookies
- Labeling jars
- Assembling cases
- Applying best before dates
- Assist in production kitchen when required
- Weighing ingredients
- Making jams and cookies
- cleaning; sweeping and mopping floors &
sanitizing work tables - Keeping supplies and materials neat and orderly
assist with inventory - Assist with packing orders for shipments
- Assist with other duties as required
Requirements:
- OSSD or equivalent
- Kitchen experience an asset
- Highly detail oriented
- Have a valid driver's licence; be able to get to and from work
- Flexible with hours; this is the perfect job for a mom with younger kids! We will schedule around school drop off and pick up times
- Must have a positive attitude
- Able to work well on a team
