Sapphires Custom Jewellery is recruiting a customer-centric Sales Associate. This opportunity offers 18-27 hours per week with no Sunday or late evening shifts. Compensation begins at $14.35 per hour. Candidates with strong social media marketing an asset. Opportunities for advancement are available, along with supported skill upgrading and training.
Duties:
- Providing an exceptional level of customer care
- Executing product sales and upholding store image and branding
- Greeting customers in person and by phone
- Supporting customers in selecting and purchasing product
- Jewellery repair intake
- Processing forms and document
- Merchandising product and displays
- Maintaining the cleanliness of the store
- Assisting with online marketing and social media posts
- Other duties as required
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a retail or service setting
- Outstanding interpersonal skills with an aptitude to easily develop rapport with customers and business contacts; outgoing in nature
- An intermediate level of computer skills focusing on word processing and POS (point of sale) systems
- Fashion forward, professional demeanour and appearance
- Interested in committing to a long term opportunity
- Flexible availability to work any shift including Saturdays (Sapphires is closed Sundays & Mondays with few exceptions seasonally)
- Digital photography knowledge is an asset
- Social media marketing an asset and opportunity for advancement
- Physically capable to perform all tasks
- In order to access supplies and hanging store décor, Sales Associates may be required to climb step stool/ladder, be able to lift up to 20lbs and in some instances bending and kneeling
- Bending and twisting may be required in order to complete cleaning and stocking duties
