Sassafras Coastal Kitchen & Bar
At Sassafras Coastal Kitchen & Bar, we serve a Coastal and Roadhouse style menu. We are looking to hire Full or Part Time Line Cooks to join our team!
Hours of work will vary. Approximately 30-45 hours, 3-5 days a week, Sunday through Saturday.
- Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies
- Prepare food for service (i.e. chopping vegetables and meat, or preparing sauces)
- Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
- Answer, report and follow executive chef or sous chef instructions
- Clean and maintain a safe work station
- Stock inventory
- Ensure that food is prepared with the highest quality and in a timely fashion
- Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
- Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
- A minimum of 2 years proven cooking experience
- Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
- Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks
- Familiar with industry best practices
