Lifeguards – Shangri-La Family Campground – #6969 – S

• Prevent and respond to emergencies, while always providing enthusiastic, courteous and superior service to guests
• Maintain constant surveillance of guests in the facility; act immediately and appropriately to secure safety of guests in the event of emergency
• Provide emergency care and treatment as required until the arrival of emergency medical services
• Keep deck clear of obstruction
• Check all lifesaving equipment each day before opening the facility and immediately report any malfunctions to manager or supervisor
• Other duties as assigned

Experience:

• 1+ years' lifeguarding experience preferred

Certifications:

• National Lifeguard (NL) Certificate
• Current standard First Aid/CPR-C

Education:

• Secondary School Graduate Diploma preferred

Other Qualifications:

• Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations
• Skill in the application of lifeguarding surveillance and rescue techniques
• Ability to follow verbal and written direction
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Ability to work flexible shifts
