Shawn’s Auto in Smithville is looking to hire a full time Automotive Service Mechanic to join their team. This role provides steady hours, a fair wage and opportunity for long term employment.
Duties:
- Perform general maintenance and repairs, including oil changes, tire rotation and brakes
- Use computerized scanning and diagnostics equipment; inspect components to diagnose malfunctions
- Examine vehicles assigned to determine if additional maintenance or safety work is required
- Move tools, equipment and other materials
- Use hand, air and power tools as well as other specialized automotive repair equipment
- Clean work area and equipment
- Perform miscellaneous labour activities
- Road test vehicles
- Assist other mechanics
Requirements:
- 3-5 years experience
- Must possess technicians licence
- Must have own basic hand tools
- Steel toe boots
- Must have own transportation
- Mechanical aptitude
- Valid driver’s licence
- Able to drive manual transmission vehicles
- Positive attitude
- Reliable and punctual
- Confident
- Excellent communication skills
- Eye for detail
