Smithville United Church

Smithville United Church is looking for an experienced Pianist to join their team.

Accompanist able to negotiate additional services and receive additional payment commensurate with the service provided.
A vacation of eight weeks is provided during the months of July and August.

Accompanist will be given first of refusal to play on a pay for services basis for any Weddings, Funerals, or applicable privately booked special events at Smithville United Church.

Duties:

Primary responsibilities will be:

  • support the Smithville United Church Choir and Praise Team through active participation in all weekly choir practices on Thursday nights, as well as during regular Sunday Service.
  • provide musical accompaniment for other key elements of regular Sunday services, i.e.: Prelude, Doxology, Congregational Hymns, Music Ministry, Postlude, etc.
Requirements:

Required experience:

  • ability to sight read and know the piano fluently
