We are currently looking for Tubewinder Machine Operators to join our team.
Required Shifts: Biweekly 8 Hour Rotations
Hours: 7am-3pm/3pm-11pm/11pm-7am shifts rotate every two weeks
The Tubewinder Machine Operator is responsible for safely operating the Tubewinder equipment to convert paper into useable and necessary parts of ice cream packaging.
- Inspect, troubleshoot, clean, and adjust machinery and equipment
- Complete product changeovers and coinciding paperwork
- Maintain all other production paperwork
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills with all other team members
- Work within competing deadlines and an ever-changing product schedule
- Use of computer systems to track production
- Operate hand tools and pallet jacks
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Ensure conformance to product specifications by completing all quality checks
- Changing out materials and equipment supplies as necessary
- Load and unload parent rolls onto machine
- Previous machine operator experience working in a production/manufacturing environment an asset
- Mechanical knowledge
- Troubleshooting skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Self-motivated and working well within a team
- Basic math skills
- Computer skills
- Experience with air pressure valves and tension control experience an asset
- Excellent attention to detail
