Statistics Canada will begin recruiting individuals to work as Census Workers for the 2021 census in our area.

Statistics Canada will be hiring 32,000 employees to count every person in Canada. Schools, housing, and health and emergency services are planned using census data.

In the current context of COVID-19, Statistics Canada is committed to ensuring the safety of their employees at all times.

The application window will begin on January 6, 2021.

Important to Know:

  • Pay rates vary by position from $17.83 to $21.77 per hour, plus authorized expenses
  • Start and end dates vary by position and location, but are between March and July 2021
  • You must be available to work flexible hours, mainly evenings and weekends
