Tim Hortons is hiring an experienced Bookkeeper to join their team.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written
  • Self-motivated with strong time management skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Excel, Word,
  • Proficient in Sage 50
  • Self-motivated with strong time management skills
  • Detail orientated
Duties:
  • Carry out all bookkeeping responsibilities using Sage 50
  • Verify, allocate and post details of business transactions to the general ledger
  • Complete bank reconciliations, and account reconciliations
  • Payroll processing, government remittances, HST reporting and filing, completing ROE’s
  • Maintain financial spreadsheets and produce reports in Sage and Excel
  • Assist the accountant in the preparation of year-end reports
  • Other duties and responsibilities as required
Requirements:
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices thorough knowledge of Sage 50 – A/R, A/P, G/L
  • Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Office, Sage 50, Outlook, etc.)
  • Excellent organizational skills as well as self-directed and able to complete tasks without supervision
  • Good time management and priority-setting skills, as well ability to multi-task while working alone and unsupervised
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Detail-oriented, accurate and professional
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Team-oriented and a self-starter

Experience:

  • Diploma in Bookkeeping, Accounting or Office Administration
  • Over 3 years of full-cycle bookkeeping experience
  • Sage 50: minimum 3 years (preferred)
  • Working knowledge of ADP payroll system would be an asset
